Isotropy, shear, symmetry and exact solutions for relativistic fluid spheres

چکیده
The symmetry method is used to derive solutions of Einstein’s equations for fluid spheres using an isotropic metric and a velocity four vector that is non-comoving. Initially the Lie, classical approach is used to review and provide a connecting framework for many comoving and so shear free solutions. This provides the basis for the derivation of the classical point symmetries for the more general and mathematicaly less tractable description of Einstein’s equations in the non-comoving frame. Although the range of symmetries is restrictive, existing and new symmetry solutions with non-zero shear are derived. The range is then extended using the non-classical direct symmetry approach of Clarkson and Kruskal and so additional new solutions with non-zero shear are also presented. The kinematics and pressure, energy density, mass function of these solutions are determined. PACs numbers: 0420, 0440, 0230, 0270

Generalised compact spheres in electric fields
We present exact solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell system of equations in spherically symmetric gravitational fields with a specified form of the electric field intensity. The condition of pressure isotropy yields a difference equation with variable, rational coefficients. In an earlier treatment this condition was integrated by first transforming it to a hypergeometric equation. We demonstrate...
متن کاملRelativistic Compact Objects in Isotropic Coordinates
Abstract We present a matrix method for obtaining new classes of exact solutions for Einstein’s equations representing static perfect fluid spheres. By means of a matrix transformation, we reduce Einstein’s equations to two independent Riccati type differential equations for which three classes of solutions are obtained. One class of the solutions corresponding to the linear barotropic type flu...
متن کاملSolvable Models of Relativistic Charged Fluid Spheres
It is known that charged relativistic shear-free fluid spheres are described by the equation yxx = f(x)y 2 +g(x)y, where f and g are arbitrary functions of x only and y is a function of x and an external parameter t. Necessary and sufficient conditions on f and g are obtained such that this equation possesses the Painlevé property. In this case the general solution y is given in terms of soluti...

We have studied the formation of relativistic solitary waves due to nonlinearinteraction of strong electromagnetic wave with the plasma wave. Here, our plasma isrelativistic both in temperature and in streaming speed. A set of equations consisting ofscalar and vector potentials together with a third order equation for the enthalpy inphoton gas plasma is obtained analytic...
متن کاملAixsymmetric Stagnation Point Flow of a Viscous Fluid on a Moving Cylinder with Time Dependent Axial Velocity
The unsteady viscous flow in the vicinity of an axisymmetric stagnation point of an infinite moving cylinder with time-dependent axial velocity is investigated. The impinging free stream is steady with a strain rate k. An exact solution of the Navier-Stokes equations is derived in this problem. A reduction of these equations is obtained by use of appropriate transformations. The general self-si...
